All The Details About A Session with Wendy Vincent Photography

So, what makes WVP unique & different?

It’s the Experience!- When you book with Wendy, you’re not just booking a photoshoot- you’re creating your DREAM senior session! Not only gorgeous photos, but a memory that will last.
Wendy Specializes in Seniors- this means that Wendy’s priority, specialty, education, and expertise is all in YOU! Wendy knows how to pose you to look your best, even if you feel super awkward or you’ve never been in front of the camera before. She’s a pro at directing you and getting those authentic smiles.
The Fashion Consultation- Wendy offers one on one fashion consultations with the top four sessions! We will plan out each outfit so you feel confident in every photo. Not only does this take the stress out of deciding what to wear, it means that you meet Wendy ahead of time so there’s absolutely no awkwardness at your session.
The WVP Style Closet-The WVP Style Closet is full of unique pieces in lots of styles and sizes. Wendy is always adding the latest trends as well as classic, timeless pieces. Don’t stress about what to wear- we’ve got you.

Here’s a little more about the timeline and what to expect when you schedule a session with WVP:

Before: Book your session- The website will walk you through everything, from choosing a date to signing my contract and paying the non-refundable $200 retainer. The remainder of the session fee will be due 24 hours before your session. Once I’ve received both your signed contract and retainer, YOU’RE BOOKED!
Before: The Fashion Consultation- If you book the Platinum session, you will have the opportunity to come to Wendy’s office for a one on one fashion consultation & planning meeting! This is the time to bring ALL of the clothes you’re thinking about wearing for your senior session and we can go through each and every one. We talk about how they’ll look on camera, what we can use to accessorize, and which shoes to wear. We’ll also decide what locations will coordinate perfectly with your outfits and vibe. If you book the Petite, you’ll also get amazing advice and prep materials via email before your session.
Before: The Reminder- About a week before your session, I’ll send you a reminder email with a checklist to make sure you remember to bring every last detail. Wendy will also check the weather, and if the weather forecast looks terrible, we can chat about our options. Usually we wait to reschedule until the day of the session, since the forecast can change day to day.
Session Day!

After: The Editing - 2 to 3 weeks after your session, Wendy will have the images edited. If you purchase the Platinum session, you’ll schedule a premiere night where you’ll we get to narrow down which images are your favorite and which ones will look amazing on canvas, in an album, or put on top of a custom designed keepsake box. You’ll be able to hold and feel the samples of each product and decide which is best for you. If you purchase the Petite or Basic Session, you’ll be able to choose your digitals and products from an online gallery.
After: The Products - 4 to 6 weeks after you put your order in, I will process your payment and your order will be on its way! Once the products arrive at my office, I will go over every detail to check it for color, clarity, and QUALITY. When I find that everything is perfect, I will package it in signature boxes and totes and you will receive an email letting you know that it’s all ready to be picked up.

If my session doesn’t include a fashion consultation, how will we plan?
- When you book your senior session, you’ll schedule a phone consultation with Wendy as well. This will happen before your session, so we will be able to plan the details beforehand. We will also communicate via email, so you’ll be able to ask any questions you have.

I schedule my senior sessions on Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays. I occasionally have Sunday afternoon available. Weekends are reserved for the larger sessions that take more time. Your session will begin about five hours before the sun sets, so depending on the time of year (+ daylight savings time) your session may begin at 1:30pm during late fall and winter, and 2:30 in the spring and early fall, and 3:30 in the summer.

Of course you are welcome to add in a few snapshots with a BFF or sibling. I actually require a parent at each session, but you’re welcome to bring someone else along to help you feel more relaxed! Call me and I can chat with you about details.

Do I have to buy prints and products?
- I know you absolutely LOVE sharing your digital photos online, which is why I always include a limited amount of digitals in each session option. BUT- trust me when I say, you’ll absolutely love seeing your gorgeous photos printed. Life gets busy and we don’t always follow through with our great intentions to print and display our photos! You can use the print credit towards extra digitals if you really want to, but I encourage you to take advantage of the credit and get some gorgeous artwork to display

What is the WVP Style closet?
- The WVP Style Closet is an entire wardrobe full of unique pieces in lots of styles and sizes. Find the perfect flowy dress or choose a fun casual outfit. You can even check out some of the pieces on instagram @wvpstylecloset. There’s tons of different options for outfits and accessories, and Wendy is ALWAYS adding to the closet to make it even better! Don’t stress about what to wear- we’ve got you.

How do I book a destination session ?

I ADORE destination sessions! Most of my destination sessions are scheduled on Saturdays or a day when school isn’t in session. We need the entire day for hair, makeup, travel time, and shooting time. It’s a full day event. After choosing your session, simply add on the travel fee in the “A La Carte” menu and fill out the destination of your choice in the location section of the questionnaire. There is an additional charge of 65 cents per mile past 30 miles outside of Turlock. San-Francisco is requested frequently, as well as Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay, Capitola, Murphy’s, Tahoe, and Yosemite. They’re all amazing!
